I have a use case where i need to index different information in different ES urls , say user data in one elastic search node and other data such products, usage data in another node
for ex -
i will like to connect to url1 and url2 where each one of then have different indexes and data
i went through elastic documentation and found that we can try having 2 different nodes connected to same cluster by changing elasticsearch yml file with the following settings
In machine 1:
cluster.name: hello_world
network.host: "hostname_or_ip_1"
network.port: 9201
discovery.zen.ping.unicast.hosts: ["hostname_or_ip_2:9201"]
In machine 2:
cluster.name: hello_world
network.host: "hostname_or_ip_2"
network.port: 9201
discovery.zen.ping.unicast.hosts: ["hostname_or_ip_1:9201"]
Following is the code i tried in NodeJs application
let client = new elasticsearch.Client
(
hosts: ["url1","url2"]
);
i am running both nodes on localhost on different ports i.e 9200 and 9800,
please correct if i am doing it wrong way or if understood the concepts wrongly.
