Access DataDirectory or SetData to another folder returns error

I would like to have multiple local databases in my ASP.NET project like this

-App_data
|_ clientA
|_Db
|_ clientB
|_Db

The databases are located in a subfolder to App_data.
My plan was to use Global.asax.cs to set DataDirectory dynamically, so whenever a request was made to the website the system would check the Server_Name and change DataDirectory Accordingly.
However, I seem to have som issue changing anything.

In my Global.asax.cs I tried to get the current path like this

private void Application_Start()

AppDomain.CurrentDomain.GetData("DataDirectory");

This returns a strange configuration parse error

I also tried to set datadirectory

AppDomain.CurrentDomain.SetData("DataDirectory", Server.MapPath("~/App_Data/")); //and also with other folders

enter image description here

  • I really could use some help on this matter.
