Programatically open intent URIs on chrome Android

0

I'm trying to open an Intent URI to launch an Android app on chrome. The app launches if it's in the href of a link, but the following does not work, instead the fall back URL is loaded.

setTimeout(() => window.location.href='The intent URI' , 3000)

It works on Android Firefox.

  • Do you want to open your app when the user click on a link? If yes, see stackoverflow.com/a/53242062/1631967 and for higher levels see stackoverflow.com/a/53129005/1631967
