Connecting Flask Web Application to AWS Tomcat7
a few things are confusing me with a project I am working on.
Firstly, I've created a web application within visual studio code using Flask for back end and angular for the UI front end. I can run the webpage fine within a virtual environment, but I need to deploy it to a host. We were told to use EC2 from AWS and it has been installed with Tomcat7. The example given shows that they are uploading a WAR file into the Tomcat7 manager to upload the project. What I don't understand is how to get from my Flask application with the angular UI to a WAR file and upload it to the server. The only hint I've found is when I build the UI folder and obtain the Dist folder, it says that
"The Dist folder contains all the files that need to be included into your server-side application folder under the static folder (go to Flask documentation for further details on this)."
I've searched the documentation, tomcat7 documentation, and online and I really can't figure this out.

Tomcat is not the best choice for a Python / Flask web application. It is more for the Java ecosystem. There are many other options to deploy WGSI applications (like Flask).
