Cookies for different browser tabs on localhost in JavaScript (js-cookie)

0

If I do the following in my Vue.js app:

import Cookies from 'js-cookie';
Cookies.set('authorizationToken', 'some value');

the cookie is set for the current browser tab. If I open a page of my wesite in a different tab the cookie is not set.

This answer tell that a cookie is set for the domain, but not for a browser tab, and this answer tells that the browser considers 'localhost' an invalid domain name.

So, is it correct that

1) If my website url is http://localhost:8080 I cannot share cookies between browser tabs?

2) If I will host my website on 'somedomain.com' all browser tabs automatically shares the cookie I set with the code above?
