socket.gaierror: [Errno 8] nodename nor servname provided, or not known when starting cqlsh

I have multiple versions of cassandra installed on my machine and when I start cassandra I see below log.

I did some search I have 127.0.0.1 mapping to localhost in my /etc/hosts file. when I ping I get below response.
My-MacBook-Pro-2:bin My$ ping localhost
PING localhost (127.0.0.1): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 127.0.0.1: icmp_seq=0 ttl=64 time=0.056 ms
64 bytes from 127.0.0.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.085 ms
64 bytes from 127.0.0.1: icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=0.071 ms
64 bytes from 127.0.0.1: icmp_seq=3 ttl=64 time=0.082 ms
Not sure how to fix this.
