IPython Notebook not working behind corporate firewall
I trying to use IPython notebook behind a company firewall. The firewall prevents the IPython notebook's connection to localhost:8889.
On executing the ipython notebook
command on a windows terminal, I am getting the following error:
The proxy could not connect to the destination in time.
URL: http://localhost:8889/tree?token=f8c7dbb9436ae3fac98384b97a5acbbf790da5d919c84033
I am wondering how can I resolve this, considering no access to configure corporate firewall!

This is more likely due to a firewall running on your local machine than a firewall around the corporate network. Creating an outbound firewall rule allowing Python to use port 8888 & 8889 may help.
