How to deal with styles in React app based on aspect ratio?

0

I have web app created with React. Base template is 1080px width. So, i use vw. I count it like this in scss mixin:

@function pxtovw($px)
$vw-context: (1080 * 0.01);
@return ($px / $vw-context) * 1vw //($px / $vw-context);

My problem is, i don't understand how to deal with aspect ratio. I need to set all units to 980px base width if aspect ratio is more than 1080/1920.

I can't check aspect ratio in js or scss because they are compiled only on build. I can't use scss @import inside the @media (min-aspect-ratio: 1081/1920). The only thing that came to my mind is to rewrite ALL pxtovw inside the @media (min-aspect-ratio: 1081/1920) but it's looks like overhead..

Example - http://take.ms/uvn9B

So what can i do with it?
