Custom API not returning any response when Called from within a powerapps app

0

I have created a very simple (default) Azure function that takes the name parameter from querystring and prints "Hello [name param]" in response. I have created a custom API out of this function and exported this to power apps and flow using the feature provided by Microsoft Azure. API works fine and sends a valid response when i test this through Azure portal or postman or even through the option to test when I edit the custom connector in powerapps but when I use this connector in an app, it doesn't return anything. I am trying to call the function using these straight forward lines of code:

Set(variableName, CustomConnectorName.AzureFunctionName(name:"Adams").ResponseName)

Then i simply put the variable as "Text" property of a label to print the response (that should be 'Hello Adams').

but response is never printed. Can anyone please guide?
