Where to put create function and stored procedure like statements in Web Application lifecycle of java?
I am developing a Java Web application which requires me to access some already existing tables in the database. For that I require to create Stored Procedure and Functions in the database first so as to do some processing in the database itself. Now these stored procedures and functions are required to be created using JDBC interface.
I was wondering while creating this Web application what's the best place to put these CREATE statements so that only once the method calling the JDBC interface creates these procedures and functions. Any reference to any material would be helpful.
