How to write mock/unit test cases for a decorator method in python/flask

0

I have written a test case for my decorator method, but i am not sure that it is right or not.
Here is my decorator.

def ensure_acl(extra_data)
def decorator(dfunction):
@wraps(dfunction)
def decorated_def(*args, **kwargs):
res = dfunction(*args, **kwargs)
new_headers = dict(res.headers)
new_headers.update(extra_data)
r.headers = new_headers
return res
return ecorated_def
return decorator

Here is the my current test case:

import unittest
class ACLTest(unittest.TestCase):
def test_ensure_acl(self):
func = Mock()
decorator = utils.ensure_acl(func)
response = decorator(lambda x: x)
assert not func.called

How to improve it.
I have already visited this answer:

  • Do you want just skip/turn off ensure_acl?
