I accidentally formatted my SD card, and have lost my music files. The songs all appear in Google Play, but cannot be listened to. Without having a backup, is it possible to recover and restore the files?

Questions about general computing hardware and software are off-topic for Stack Overflow unless they directly involve tools used primarily for programming. You may be able to get help on Super User.
