GenICam::gcstring to QtString
I am using Qt 5 and the Basler pylon Lib.
this itself is based on GenICam which seams to define most standard interfaces itself.
In this case
class GenICam::gcstring
A string class which is a clone of std::string. More...
I am using this code which returns GenICam::gcstring
CStringPtr( nodemap.GetNode( "DeviceVendorName") )->GetValue()
I need to convert this to a QString, but obviously Qt does not have any conversion between gcstring and QString.
This works, but I am not convinced it is the best method, since gcstring is not 8 bit based.
QString strVendorName = QString::fromLatin1(CStringPtr( nodemap.GetNode( "DeviceVendorName") )->GetValue().c_str());
type-conversion stdstring qstring
