MVC: why not return an absolute URL for FileDownloads?
We have a piece of legacy code which returns an absolute URL for PDF file download. The files are located in our Content Directory.
The User gets an url like "file:domainContentDocumentsexample.pdf".
This gets opened via JavaScript.
What could be a reason to change this to another way of FileDownload e.g. the Controller.File Method?
