How to draw a similar chart in Excel / Sheets? (incl. a shaded area square) [on hold]

I am able to generate a line chart but have absolutely no clue how to insert the shaded area squares.
Is anyone able to help?

You can do something similar in Excel but not sheets. It is not a simple chart however. Try playing around with a combo chart where the boxes are stacked areas.
