Ensure Android alarms are synced across multiple devices
I was wondering whether someone can shed some light on this. I have a situation where I need to execute an alarm EXACTLY (with millisecond accuracy) at the same time across multiple devices every 5 seconds. Assuming the very first time the alarm goes off is correctly synced, how can I ensure that alarms will stay synced overtime?
Currently I use the following code in each device..
Intent intent = new Intent(SampleApp.getContext(), AnimationAlarmManager.class);
AlarmManager alarmManager = (android.app.AlarmManager) FarosApp.getContext().getSystemService(ALARM_SERVICE);
PendingIntent pendingIntent = PendingIntent.getBroadcast(FarosApp.getContext(),requestCode, intent, PendingIntent.FLAG_UPDATE_CURRENT);
long alarmTime = SystemClock.elapsedRealtime() + 5*1000;
Objects.requireNonNull(alarmManager).setExact(android.app.AlarmManager.ELAPSED_REALTIME_WAKEUP, alarmTime, pendingIntent);
However after sometime the devices go out of sync....
