Clear defaults for a specific link after accidentally press 'always open'

0

I have a link that needs to be opened on my app. It is working fine in normal scenario but if a user accidentally presses always open option then Android doesn't show my app in the chooser. Is there anyway to reset or clear the settings for that specific url? In other words to force Android to show my app again as a candidate in the chooser for that link?

P.S. I know I have to clear the cache/defaults for the browser that is always opening the link but is there any solution to force Android dynamically?

<intent-filter android:label="@string/app_name" android:autoVerify="true">
<action android:name="android.intent.action.VIEW" />
<category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT" />
<category android:name="android.intent.category.BROWSABLE" />
<data android:scheme="https" android:host="app.page.link" />
<data android:scheme="http" android:host="appshareoffer.page.link" />
</intent-filter>

    Only the user can do that manually through settings.
